Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: March 5, 2026
At The Guided Studio, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. This work is guided by our core values of consent, inclusion, and neurodivergent-affirming practice, which extend to how we build and maintain our online presence.
Our Commitment
The Guided Studio is designed to be a resource for therapists, and we believe that access to these resources should be available to all, regardless of ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Our goal is for The Guided Studio to be conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. While we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.
Current Accessibility Features
We have taken the following measures to ensure accessibility of The Guided Studio:
•Navigation: The website includes a "Skip to Main Content" link on all pages to allow keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation.
•Headings: Page content is structured with a logical hierarchy of headings (H1, H2, H3) to aid in screen reader navigation.
•Language: The site language is set to English (en) to ensure correct pronunciation by screen readers.
•Images: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text (alt text).
Areas for Improvement
We are aware of some areas on the site where we could improve accessibility. We are currently working to achieve this. We hope that this site will achieve a high level of accessibility in the near future. The known issues are:
•Product Image Alt Text: On our main shop page, many of the product images currently have empty alt text. While these images are decorative in that they are covered by the product title link, we are working to add descriptive alt text to every product image to provide a richer experience for screen reader users.
•Color Contrast: Some text and background color combinations, particularly in buttons and highlighted sections, may not meet the minimum contrast ratios required by WCAG 2.1 AA. We are in the process of auditing our color palette and will be updating our site design to ensure all text is easily readable.
•Focus Indicators: While most interactive elements have a visible focus state, we are working to ensure that all links, buttons, and form fields have a highly visible and consistent focus indicator for keyboard-only users.
•Third-Party Content: Some embedded content, such as the Acuity scheduling tool for consultations and the interactive Parts Mapping Tool, are managed by third-party services. While we have chosen these tools for their functionality, we cannot guarantee their full accessibility compliance. We are committed to working with our vendors to advocate for improved accessibility.
